Feeling depleted of energy, depressed, headaches, feeling sick or have anxiety. Do you pick up on others physical and emotional pain?
As therapists we so often look after everyone else’s needs and not always our own.
Through many years personal experience of hairdressing, healing, massage and therapies I have started to work in a very rare, unique and extraordinary way. It now feels like the right time to make other therapists aware of the energy that is so often around us, which can be absorbed throughout treatments and which can make unsuspecting therapists feel really quite ill.
We are all surrounded by invisible and intangible energies. Whilst most of us are completely unaware of these energies. I, unlike most people, have a physical reaction to them. This began over 10 years ago and was originally thought by doctors and specialists to be an allergic reaction to hairdressing products. At the time I could understand this as I had just introduced a new brand into the salon.
As time went by, the symptoms gradually got worse and as they could not find anything physically wrong with me and were completely baffled – all they could offer me was speech therapy – which I declined. Eventually after some time, the problems subsided and I found all was ok – or so I thought!
Fast forward a few years and I had just embarked on teaching holistic therapy courses and facials for an award winning company called Face The World, when this problem started to flourish again. Only much stronger than ever before, and I still had no idea what was happening to me.
Now, two and a half years later, after lots of research and trying to get answers to what seemingly no one has ever heard of before, I now understand it was actually an external energy that had hit me so hard. This energy literally knocked me off my feet and caused me to be bedridden for quite a number of days.
After understanding this and accepting my new way of working as a therapist, it has now become part of me and has enabled me to work in a much more specialised and complex way. I have had no choice but to retire from a 30 year hairdressing career and now work on a one to one basis with my clients.
The detection of an external energy around a client will ALWAYS affect my voice and will be accompanied by physical pain. And as my clientele is changing I am now beginning to see other therapists and spa owners with the same energy problems.
This is partly by having no awareness of protection, cleansing, self-care, or grounding. And if therapists have been taught these elements, why are they not using them on a daily basis.
Would you drive your car without a seatbelt? Then why would you go into your therapy working environment without protection?
When any therapist engages in therapy with a client, you are entering into an active energy exchange, you are working within that person’s aura or subtle energy field and they within yours.
Look at your clients, they are likely coming to you because they are ill or feeling under the weather.
Whilst at the end of their treatment, your client says they feel much better and lighter, this is often because the energy of the client has been released and floating around you and your therapy room.
Not realizing the full impact that these energies have around us can also interfere with your business. Things like causing missed appointments, late cancellations and no shows – which we know are a familiar problem in the hair & beauty industry!
Although we may put it down to clients being rude and disrespectful to the services which we provide, sometimes something bigger is actually going on behind the scenes and it is likely that your business premises will be full of stagnant, negative energy.
Entering a therapy room and lying on a massage couch that has not been energetically cleansed between clients, allows the next client to pick up some of the previous client’s residual energy.
This is also true of therapists working in a dual treatment rooms and therapy rooms where there is a greater energy exchange between clients and therapists.
Many salons and spas offer alcohol with treatments , this opens the energy field and can have a multitude of adverse effects which can include the more complex possibility of allowing spirit attachment or possession.
Protective healing crystals used in treatments and in your therapy room which can help absorb and clear negative energy, such as black tourmaline, selenite, obsidian, amethyst , jade and jet. White sage smudging is very beneficial to room cleansing, but cannot completely clear the energy – so the help of a specialist in energy clearing and spirit release is essential.
When other therapists come to me for treatments, I ask if they can bring a photo of their therapy room or premises, as I can energetically read the imprint on the photo to see if a clearance is needed – which most often it is.
After an energy clearing there is often a dramatic change in your business, finances and within yourself.
There are many specialist books that will delve deeper into this type of energy work. However, until you have actually felt the impact of such energies, you really will struggle to understand the complexity of these potential situations.
As with any job there are risks involved. Massage and healing are no different and anyone channeling healing energy should do so with respect and be aware that it can open Pandora’s box.
As where there is light, there is also dark!
