Meet Lizzie Badger
About me
I started my career in the Home Office as a specialist DNA forensic scientist – being one of the original team that set up the National DNA Database. I progressed through the ranks to eventually head up a DNA unit in Cambridgeshire of over 200 scientists. I moved to a private forensic company and branched out into operations management for all casework for the north of England – from DNA to drugs, firearms, scene of crime management though to ISO accreditation and quality assurance.
My career change was sudden and much needed! After a few years in the wilderness, I was called into setting up my first business, Face The World, and I’ve not looked back since. Face The World is an award-winning UK company, specialising in choreographed, multi-sensory massage training and our unique and ethical skin care.
I’m also co-founder of the Therapist Business Club, founder of the UK Volunteer Therapist Hub and co-ordinator and founder of National Massage Day and Pro-Touch Awareness Month.
Exciting times!
3 things you don’t know…
Fun and odd
Most of my career was spent as a forensic scientist before my world turned upside down! You can read my story here.
Most dear
Being blessed and guided by divine love every day of my life.
Super power
There are so many superpowers that would be great fun to have! I reckon a cloak of invisibility would be pretty cool… or being able to time-travel!
